Take your time, slow down some; take it easy, you don’t have to run
There’s enough here for everyone, if everybody shared
What if we all agreed, to only take what we need
If there was no heartless greed and everybody cared?

I’m not tryin’ to change your mind, I’m just sayin’ what’s on mine
Opinions aren’t a crime, tho some act like they are
Regardless of your point of view, when the day is through
When we all do what we got to do, please, just-don’t-lower-the bar!

It might sound implausible, a little crazy or impossible,
Probably improbable, but that won’t stop a dream
We may never reach a deal, or come close to the ideal
But I can’t un-feel what I feel, or deny what I believe
